I currently have a greyhound, a galgo, and 7 kitties. I was very active in greyhound adoption and transport in the Pittsburgh PA area, where I also did pet sitting.

Fountain Hills

Chandra
(480) 816-9426 (text/call)

Cross streets are Shea and Fountain Hills Blvd.

I am happy to help my fellow greyhound owners/fosters occasionally. I prefer to watch your family member(s) in my home since I have two greyhounds.

I am willing to pet sit for free and hope to potentially exchange pet sitting when I need to go out of town occasionally.

I am home most of the time and I have two greyhound girls, Pretzel and Bia, both extra friendly. I’ve fostered too. It is just me and my college age son at home, so it is quiet. I do not have a yard for the dogs to run around, but I do take them for walks twice a day if temperatures are reasonable.

Marlys Walrath and Winnie
Greyhounds Rhoo-le / A Hound Home-Away-From Home
(520) 282-0171 (leave a message & call back phone number)

I am a greyhound owner for 20 years. I prefer to care for 1-hound as we do daily walks. Also, I require an initial  meet & greet at my home for your evaluation and to make sure that Winnie and your pet are compatible. I have a client information form for owner(s) to complete.

Fees are negotiable. Thank you for your consideration.

Gilbert (Northeast)

Stephanie Lawrence
(480) 390-0650 (text)

Cross streets are Guadalupe and Recker.

I have been approved by Rover.com where they do a thorough background check. I retired from State Farm Insurance about 3 years ago and have volunteered with AAGI since 2003, when I adopted my first GH. I am also a past board member of the Greyhound Guild.

Currently I have several dog sitting clients and can provide references. I usually stay at the client’s home, as one of my GH is not too friendly with new dogs. I can also do drop-in visits and get mail, water plants etc. Depending on the distance to your home/ doggie door, etc., my rate starts at $45 a night.

Mesa

Lisa Gerland
(480) 228-6319 (text/call)

I currently share my life with Steve and four greyhounds, Sterling, Rocket, Posey, and Hawkwind. For more than ten years, I have worked as a dog sitter and have references available. I will stay in your home and care for, play with, love on, feed, and walk your hounds, and I’ll send daily photos to keep you updated.

My current clients say I’m very reliable, and I am happy to do a meet and greet prior to booking a stay. My fee is $40 per day plus $4 for each additional greyhound.

Peoria

Jane Triplett
jataz8832@gmail.com

Cross streets are 89th Ave and Pinnacle Peak.

My acre property is fenced. It is divided so that the fenced area close to the house is separated by a gate and the larger fenced part of the acre is open on a monitored basis. Desert landscape (but no cactus), no grass.

I have had greyhounds since 2003 and fostered about 40 to transition to their forever homes. I currently dog sit greyhounds exclusively. I require the grey’s food be provided with their bowl and favorite treats.

My fee is $40 per day plus $10 for each additional greyhound.

Phoenix (Central)

Lindsey Lucian & Colin Kelly
(650) 815-9475 (text/call)

Cross streets are Central and Bethany Home.

We have owned greyhounds for roughly 10 years or so, and we frequently have foster dogs in the house with our resident greyhound Phil and a Husky named Kitty. We are huge dog people and would be happy to help when we can.

We are happy to have overnight guests if needed, and do not charge as long as dogs are dropped off with their own food!

Phoenix (East)

Joni Simonds
(602) 999-2900 (text/call)

Cross streets are 44th St and Osborn.

I have had greyhounds for 24 years and have been a volunteer for AAGI for most of that time. I currently have 2 hounds and have fostered numerous others over the years. I do require an initial meeting of the hounds to insure everyone gets along. Those of you that come to Nails know the size of my back yard. In addition, the dogs all get walked twice a day.

The only things you need to bring are food and any meds your dogs are taking. My fees are $25 per day.

Phoenix (North)

Danielle and Will
daniellemenona@gmail.com

Cross streets are 32nd Street and Shea.

We have a brindle greyhound, Britta, who we adopted from Greyhound Pets of Arizona, and she enjoys the company of other dogs. We also foster greyhounds, so we’ll likely have Britta plus an additional greyhound to play with your pup.

Because we foster, we’ve gotten to know lots of greyhound personalities and how to care for them. We walk the hounds twice a day and can accommodate special dietary requirements. Both Will and I work from home, so the hounds get constant attention and supervision.

Colleen Rourke
(623) 734-5363 (text/call)

Cross streets are Beardsley and 31st Ave.

I have been involved as a volunteer and foster mom for a few years now with GPA-AZ. I have had two previous greyhounds, and currently have a little female, Raven, who loves new friends and seizes the opportunity to be her outgoing self. And we sometimes have a foster in our home too.

I work from home and have been pet sitting greyhounds for about 7 years, mostly for friends, via word of mouth. My yard is 6-foot wood and block-fenced, and I always go outside with my dog, fosters, and greyhound guests, keeping a close eye on them. Depending on the number of dogs in my home, we do a daily morning walk.

I ask that owners provide food, and I charge $25 for one dog for each overnight and $35 for two.

Phoenix (North / Desert Ridge)

Paula Masiulewicz
(480) 688-5156 (text/call)

Cross streets are the 101 and the 51.

I have been involved with AAGI since 1996, fostering and pet sitting since 1997. Annie and Zeke are my two current hounds who love company, and we often also have a foster or two hanging with us.

I work from home and have experience with special needs and elderly dogs. My yard is 6-foot block-fenced, and I do have a pool, but I carefully supervise all backyard activity. I ask that owners provide food, and I charge $15 for one dog for each overnight and $25 for two. I’m also willing to take more dogs if needed and/or negotiate a sitting exchange on an individual case basis.

Prescott Valley

Liz Lechner
lizzielu@rocketmail.com
(610) 457-6915 (text/call)

I have been a Greyhound owner for 15 years (3 different hounds) and am an experienced pet sitter. I do have a fully fenced yard, no stairs, and no cats. I do have an 8yr old male Greyhound, Darby, who gets along with other dogs just fine.

Weekends are best for me, but I can do weekdays too. Just be aware that I do work and the dog would be here at the house with my housemate. She will let the dogs out in the yard and keep an eye on them, but they will not be walked or fed until I am home.

I am generally off most major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc) and am typically available during these times. I charge $10 per day per dog, 2 dogs max.
